安德烈-馬里·安培(法語:André-Marie AmpèreFRS,1775年1月20日-1836年6月10日[1])是法國物理學家、數學家,古典電磁學的創始人之一。為了紀念他的貢獻,國際單位制電流的單位「安培」以他的姓氏命名。



Today (in 1775) André-Marie Ampère was born. James Clerk Maxwell called him “the Newton of Electricity”. He never went to school, except to teach classes himself, but he is one of the greatest names in the history of Physics.
