Touching a Robot's 'Intimate Parts' Makes People Uncomfortable

Subjects recruited by the researchers were put in a room alone with a small humanoid robot, which asked to be touched in different parts of its body. The study showed that touching "less accessible" regions of the robot was more physiologically arousing than touching "more accessible" regions.
