iPhone 4 case

Apple rolled out an update to its iPhone software, and reviewers say it offers a more accurate representation of the signal the phone is getting but doesn't fix the problem of dropped calls.

Apple engineers were aware of the risks of the new antenna design as early as a year ago, but CEO Steve Jobs liked the design so much that Apple went ahead. Apple doesn't plan to recall the iPhone 4.
Apple to Give Away Case as iPhone Fix
Apple CEO Steve Jobs acknowledged that the iPhone 4 loses signal strength when held a certain way, but argued the problem is not unique to his company's device. He said the iPhone 4 had sold 3 million units so far.
